In 2008 Freshbeat started work on a new project called PenguinPages. Managing the whole project from start to finish, an informative and easy to use service for both businesses and the public was created.
Launched in 2009, PenguinPages has served the UK by providing a well categorised directory of UK based businesses. The whole service is free to use. Unlike many other online business directories, it’s even free to sign up with your own company profile. If you own several businesses, PenguinPages lets you submit as many profiles as you wish.
The New PenguinPages
Freshbeat gave the whole website a major overhaul in the final quarter of 2010, redesigning the entire website, including the mascot. The bespoke system was then replaced by integrating the powerful WordPress content management system.
